Rebecca & Graeme's Incredible Soul, Funk & Disco Wedding Party at Todmorden Town Hall
Some weddings have that special combination of an amazing couple, fantastic guests and a truly spectacular venue. Rebecca and Graeme's wedding at Todmorden Town Hall was exactly that.
I'm delighted to be able to share this video from their evening celebration, featuring highlights from a live DJ set packed with soul, funk and disco classics that kept the dancefloor buzzing throughout the night.
A Stunning Wedding Venue
Todmorden Town Hall is one of West Yorkshire's most iconic wedding venues and it's easy to see why. Opened in 1875, this remarkable Victorian landmark is famous for its grand architecture, impressive staircase and magnificent main hall.
From the moment guests entered the room, there was a real sense of occasion. The scale and elegance of the hall provide an incredible setting for wedding celebrations, creating the perfect backdrop for an unforgettable evening.
As darkness fell and the evening reception got underway, the space took on a completely different character. The beautiful architecture became a canvas for a fully synchronised lighting show, transforming the room into an atmospheric and energetic party environment.
Soul, Funk & Disco Done Right
Rebecca and Graeme wanted an evening filled with feel-good music that would appeal to guests of all ages. Soul, funk and disco are always a fantastic combination for bringing people together, and this wedding was no exception.
From timeless classics and dancefloor favourites to singalong moments and high-energy disco anthems, the atmosphere built throughout the evening, creating one of those celebrations where guests simply didn't want to leave the dancefloor.
What stood out most was the energy in the room. Family and friends fully embraced the party, helping to create an atmosphere that was warm, joyful and packed with memorable moments.
Bringing the Venue to Life with Intelligent Lighting
A great wedding party is about more than just music. For Rebecca and Graeme's celebration, my intelligent DMX-controlled lighting system was programmed to react and synchronise with the music in real time. Every colour change, movement and lighting effect was carefully matched to the energy of the dancefloor.
The result was a stunning visual experience that filled the entire hall with colour and movement, enhancing the atmosphere and bringing a modern, nightclub-style feel to this beautiful historic venue.
Watching the lights sweep across the room while guests danced beneath the grand architecture of Todmorden Town Hall was genuinely something special.
